I once had a luvluv
Her hair was slightly dyed
She smelled of fresh flowers
And sometimes apple pie
There also a smaller luvluv
Who’s hair has sticks and bugs
Who loves to give hugs
And water mommies flowers
I lost one I might lose them both
I wish I could turn back time
And make it right this time
i suck at blogging – why am I even trying
Havn’t posted in 2 months, thought I would just post something.. even if its meaningless.
Weather is getting better finally… Been a long winter. I don’t know how people live in places where the winters last so long.
Have you ever wanted to get a total list of all the DotNetNuke portals in all your database installations on a single server?
Well, look no further:
IF OBJECT_ID (‘tempdb..##TempTemp’,'U’) IS NOT NULL
DROP TABLE ##TempTemp
CREATE TABLE ##TempTemp (ID INT, Name NVARCHAR(MAX ), DbName NVARCHAR(MAX))
exec sp_MSforeachdb ‘IF OBJECT_ID (”?.dbo.Portals”,”U”) IS NOT NULL INSERT ##TempTemp SELECT PortalId, PortalName , ”?” FROM ?.dbo.Portals’
select * from ##TempTemp;
It snowed a whole bunch here. Was the first white xmas in a long time that I can recall.
Everything just chuggin along, getting excited about christmas!
As always there is very little going on. I guess there is alot going on, I just forget to post about it.
Today I had to remove the rear brake lines from our minivan. Our brake light had come on, and the fluid was low… and come to find out one of the rear lines was leaking.
They were SUPER rusted — the van is from Michigan. I guess it just eventually rusted through. So of course I wasn’t immediately able to find the right parts, so tomorrow going to hit it early and if all else fails I will visit a Ford dealer.
Anyway, thats about it.
Apparently a portable dishwasher is just a regular dishwasher at the core with a box put around it and wheels so its safe to scoot around. It has some different water/waste hookups also.
So the first thing was the outer shell. A wooden counter top came off, and the metal housing came off. It unscrewed easily and lifted right off. The hoses and the power cord had to be disconnected.
Next was a lower shelf that had a heavy concrete brick attached. This was the final piece that was making it portable. The wheels were attached to this. After removing this the dishwasher was down to its core, and it is perfect size to fit under cabinet.
The hardest part was finding hoses to hook it up to a permenant water and sewer source.
I had to buy a regular dishwasher water line that comes with a couple hose adapters. Then an extra hose adapter to further adapt it to the dishwasher. The dishwasher was using a water hookup that is the same as a garden hose, and Home Depot had no standard water line that matched this.
The waste (sewer) line i couldn’t find anything to match, as the plastic part on the dishwasher was rather large and the existing hose actually got a big larger on the last few inches.
So I just cut the special “hooks up to the sink” thing that was originally attached and turned it into the new waste line.
Everything worked great, its mounted under the cabinet and you can’t even tell its actually a portable dishwasher that has been taken apart.
But now i’m stuck with the other pieces we stripped off. I guess i’ll put them in the attic, and maybe someday I can turn it back into a portable dishwasher to sell it for more money.
Shared Function GetLastDayInMonth(ByVal dDate As Date) As Date
'get first day of this month
Dim tempdate1 As DateTime = DateSerial(dDate.Year, dDate.Month, 1)
'gets the first day of the next month
Dim tempdate2 As DateTime = DateAdd("m", 1, tempdate1)
'subtract a second to get 11:59:59 PM of the last day of the month/year passed in dDate
Return DateAdd("s", -1, tempdate2)
End Function
I had a hard time finding a good one that was culture invariant. Also this one sets the time to 11:59:59 PM …. which is a common bug on many systems. The very last day has it set to 00:00:00 which is actually the start of the last day of the month. So some reports will be off because they don’t include data for that last day.
